THINGS TO BRING

Brimmed hat

Comfortable lightweight hiking shoes or boots with good tread.

Lightweight pants and/or shorts. Zip off pants work really well.

Lightweight long- and short-sleeved shirts.

Light jacket, windbreaker and/or lightweight rain poncho.

Two 28-ounce water bottles and small backpack or daypack Person

Padded or thick socks
Additional items if you are staying for multiple days:

Sleepwear

Toiletries: toothbrush and toothpaste

Sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher is recommended)

Prescription medications, over-the-counter medications you commonly use (aspirin, Advil, EpiPen if needed, cold and allergy medications, antibiotic cream, etc.)
Field Tools-We provide field tools but here are some commonly used field tools if you would like to bring your own:

Rock or brick hammer
You and your family can be paleontologists for a day or the whole week! Join our staff in the field learning how to find dinosaur and other fossils that lived with the dinosaurs.
Plan to meet our staff at the Garfield Motel by 8:00 am on the day of your program.
Sample Itinerary
7-8 am--Meet staff behind Garfield Motel for continental breakfast and prepare lunch.
8 am--Drive to the field sites.
9 am--Explore fossils and excavation in the field.
Noon--Lunch in the field.
1 pm--Resume field activities.
2 pm--Leave field sites for early returnees. 4
4 pm--Leave field sites for late returnees.
7:30 pm--Evening dinosaur activities (Optional). *Note: Breakfast and lunch are provided daily.
If you are staying for multiple days, we recommend the Garfield Motel for your lodging. They also have cabins and campground lots available.
